The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to the south.

The decision was among key resolutions reached at the party’s 102nd national executive committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Monday.

Reading the communiqué after the meeting, Debo Ologunagba, national publicity secretary of the party, said the zoning committee recommended that all elective positions currently held in the north and south should be retained.

He explained that with the north retaining the position of national chairman, the party’s presidential ticket would go to the south.
